“But, we are dealing with Sawyer ..."

Yesterday, Sawyer’s doctor told us she had a plan to get him home by the weekend.  Then she remarked, “But, we are dealing with Sawyer and so far nothing has gone as planned.”

During Sawyer’s dialysis today, the blood pushed towards his spine again causing a lot of pain.  Either the catheter is damaged again or there is something about his circulatory system that is allowing this to happen.

We could not finish dialysis.  So, they are going to try and use the new peritoneal catheter that was surgically placed in his belly on Monday.  They wanted to wait until Friday to use it.  However, today will be the day.

The good news is Sawyer’s femoral catheter will be removed today.  This is a huge blessing.  He will get to walk again and checkout the play room.

The play room has always looked fun but I've been there with newborns too little to venture in. Praying he has some fun today

Praying dialysis goes smoothly and the new cathetar works like it should! Also praying his pain level decreases and he gets to have some more smiles. :) Hang in there, Sawyer buddy! Proud of you!

Sometimes it takes the bad things to open up the "new" good things, you know? Praying that the new dialysis catheter works well. Today when I was exercising the song (MP3) came on, "I'll Be There." I realized that the lyrics are perfect for you all. God "being there" for you and Karen, and you two (representing God's hands of love) are there for Sawyer! Your constant, tender love for your love IS God right there in his room ... "BEING THERE." He will remember that you never wavered, even the "rescue" from the disasterous earthquake! Love you!

Praying for Sawyer that the new Peritoneal Catheter works appropriately and that dialysis goes smoothly. I want to see that Big Sawyer grin again. He is a strong little boy and I know he will come through this just fine. We are also praying for your family that God will continue to give you the strength to be His hands and feet for Sawyer. We love you friends and are standing in the gap for all of you. Pls say hello to Will, Emma and Ben. They are so gifted in helping Sawyer. God Bless You and Keep You.

I had a dream that I gave this verse to someone who was going through a difficult time, so the first thing I thought about when I woke up was you guys. This is also my prayer for you - "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

The Lord carries us when we are tired and weary, on eagles wings (Ex.19:4). I pray that He will carry your family, and more so, Sawyer at this time. One thing is for sure - He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you.

Father, in the name of Jesus, stretch forth Your righteous right hand over this situation. You are The Great Physician, and man can only go so far where medicine is concerned. Father, may every single thing that is wrong with Sawyer's body be made right. Make new kidneys, restore his strength and health, let us all be astounded at Your loving touch. May peace flow. May anxieties, worries and fears flee from this family in Jesus name, and may Your peace that trancends all understanding be theirs. Fill them with joy and strength. In Jesus Name, Amen. Thank You Jesus.

Will be praying for lil' buddy to see that playroom full of toys. Also will be praying the dialysis goes well.
Thanks so much for the facebook updates. It truly means a lot to me as I missed most of them over the weekend. Continued to pray without updates, but relieved to know how to pray now. Hang in there Mom and Dad, God has all of you in his strong hands right now.
